Pelican Beach Resort is a great place to choose when it comes to Destin. It is only 5 minutes drive to Destin and you still get the best sand and ocean in the area, staying on the beach. This year, we had two hurricanes, having a risk to hit Destin. Tropical storm sixteen turned into Hurricane Nate and expected to take a bath over New Orleans and then north east over Georgia. Destin is expected to have thunders and rain stating Saturday afternoon for a couple days but after that we hope sun to be back for enjoying October and November.
