On Sunday, March 6th, 2022, from 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM, the family-friendly event will feature gourmet, chef-inspired twists inspired by the South’s favorite comfort food at Destin Commons. Local restaurants far and wide will bring their best macaroni masterpieces to compete for the best mac and cheese in town.
There are three categories that each local restaurant can win in total: Judge’s Choice Award, People’s Choice Award, and Kid’s Choice Award. Visitors are invited to taste each delicious vendor and cast their vote — all the while supporting a charitable cause.
All proceeds from the event benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast!

The 35th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival will take place April 7-10, 2022. The Sandestin Wine Festival has been named the “Best Annual Event” by Destin Magazine, and is known as the Best event in the Visit South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival area.
The Sandestin Wine Festival at Baytowne Wharf brings an opportunity for discovery. Four days of unique events open up a wide range of experiences from attending wine dinners with celebrity chefs, participating in preview events throughout the year, and taking part in wine tastings that showcase hundreds of wines.
Wine novices are able to learn more about wines and sample from a comprehensive selection in all varieties, styles, and price ranges. Wine aficionados enjoy meeting winemakers, asking detailed questions, and acquiring hard to get selections. Everyone gets to enjoy the live music, interactive experiences at the Culinary tents, and shops and dining of the Village of Baytowne Wharf. THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is always open to the public. Even during special events, guests are welcome to visit the shops and merchants. Non drinking festival guests are welcome to attend the Grand Wine Tasting with their friends at no charge–they will not receive a wristband.

Wine, charity and fun converge for The Northwest Florida Beaches Ultimate Wine Week. South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival takes place April 21 – April 24, 2022 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin (not to be confused with the Sandestin resort or Sandestin wine festival).
A dazzling roster of dozens of celebrity winemakers, distillers, chefs and brewmasters converge in South Walton, Florida to wine, dine, educate and entertain guests as part of the three-day celebration of wine during the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival held each April throughout Grand Boulevard. With more than 600 quality wines to taste over four days, this annual award-winning charity event delivers a wine experience unparalleled among Northwest Florida wine festivals. Grand Boulevard at Sandestin and South Walton become the epicenter of the wine world during the last weekend of April as these two organizations team up to host some of the preeminent vintners from around the world.
The festival kicks off Thursday at 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. with Winemakers & Shakers, held at Wine World in Destin. The VIP Wine Tasting now takes place Friday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., followed by the Friday Craft Beer & Spirits Jam, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The Grand Tastings are Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The VIP Tasting can only be attended by purchasing the VIP Wine Festival 3-Day Package that includes most festival events as well.

South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival is an annual charity event held the last weekend in April. The festival features a stunning showcase of some of the best wines in the world. Celebrity wine producers and chefs present fine wine and food pairings from the world’s most famous appellations. The Culinary Village offers a sumptuous array of foods to taste, wines to pair, as well as wine and food tasting seminars. The event is a major fundraiser for Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which benefits children in need in Northwest Florida.
Join us for our second Annual Downtown Throwdown and Parade on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the corner of Ferry Road SE and First Street SE from 1-5 p.m. We are especially looking forward to celebrating Mardi Gras 2022 after canceling the 2021 event and parade because of COVID.
The parade route starts at First Street and Eglin Parkway with floats lining up on First Street between Eglin Parkway and Perry Avenue. The parade will travel up Eglin Parkway, right on Perry Avenue, slight right on Ferry Road, ending at First Street.
Shrimp & Grits Festival benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast
The event features creative variations of Shrimp & Grits by local restaurateurs and chefs from Fort Walton Beach to 30A, all competing to be crowned the best on the Emerald Coast.
By benefiting the Boy’s & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast the festival has impacted and helped over 5000 kids attending 10 different clubs across 3 counties.

The Sandestin Gumbo Festival has been known as one of the largest & most popular winter food events along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Kick-off the weekend Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 with a delicious Seafood Boil at Hammerhead’s Bar & Grill. More details to come! In addition to experiencing the sight of 25-to-100-foot larger-than-life show kites of all sizes and shapes, this FREE two-day, high-flying event features stunt kite flying, demonstrations and lessons, and a family fun fly that is perfect for kite enthusiasts of all ages. The public is invited to experience and learn from several kite flyers both days, courtesy of Kitty Hawk Kites and the Emerald Coast Kite Flyers Club.
