Arrival and Check-in
Pelican Beach Resort

Pelican Beach Resort is located on Highway 98, right across Big Kahuna’s Waterpark. After the security hut, drive towards the taller white-gray building on the beach.
Check-in is at 4pm CST. We have 24/7 front desk and you can check-in anytime after 4pm.
We manage our condos, please do NOT call Pelican Beach Resort. If you arrive early, you can still start using the beach and pools but condo will be ready for you at check-in time. If your unit is ready earlier, we will text you. Front desk will NOT know if your unit is ready as we have our own housekeepers.
You may temporarily park your vehicle at the designated check-in parking area. Luggage carts are located on the lobby. Please do not take the cart inside the unit even temporarily and return it downstairs after use as a respect to other fellow guests.
Front desk will give you parking pass for up to 2 cars and wristbands to be worn during your stay in high season between March and October. There is plenty of covered and uncovered parking, no hassle. You cannot get wristbands for more people than in the booking and lost wristbands are subject to replacement fee. You will be required to sign and acknowledge these resort rules at the front desk.

You can call front desk at (850) 654-1425 to inquire about resort amenities. They will NOT help you with your unit specific questions or maintenance requests. You need to contact me.
There is no room service in the resort.

Check-out time is 10:00AM (CST). Please respect our check-out times since the property needs to be prepared for the next arriving guest on-time.
Please let us know if something is not working in the unit so that we can have it repaired before the next guest.
You can leave the used towels and sheets as they are, no need to strip the beds.
In order to avoid extra housekeeping charges, we kindly ask our guests to please:
• Check-out on time
• Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher & start the cycle
• Empty refrigerator
• Throw all trash down the trash chute located in the exterior hallway (west and north ends)
• Rinse off the interior of cooler and shake off the sands of beach equipment outside
• If the pull out sofa bed in the living room has been used, please leave the bed in opened position so it can be properly cleaned and prepared for the next guest
• Check drawers and closets to make sure you didn’t leave your belongings behind
Once you stay in our units, you will always have a repeat guest discount with us. Details will be sent to your email.
Unit Amenities
Your welcome package will have startup supply of toilet papers, 2 bottled waters, travel size shampoos, soaps bars, 1 coffee pack, coffee filters, dish liquid, new dish sponge, dish towel, paper towel, 2 dishwasher tablets and 2 laundry detergent packs. We provide linens, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes (please check under vanities). Kitchen has all kitchenware and silverware including cooking and oven pans as well as blender, toaster, mixer and drip+K-cup type coffee machine. We do NOT provide condiments.

There are vending machines in the main lobby for additional hygiene products and snacks.
Two adult size beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler are stored in the condo and available for the use of our guests for free. Private sets can only be placed behind the rentals. Please rinse the cooler before you depart.
Sofa in the living room turns into a queen size bed. Sheets, blankets and pillows are in the bedroom closet. We do not provide extra blankets.
Vacuum cleaner, hair dryers, iron and iron board are provided.
Upper bunkbed cannot be used by children under 6.
We provide 2 Turkish style easy-dry beach towels. If you need more, please bring your own beach towels as we do not permit other towels or linens to be taken out from the unit. You can also buy beach towels in the cafe or next door at Alvin’s Island.
Heating and Cooling
TVs and Remotes
Please do not touch or change the cables.
Smart TVs have Cox Ultimate Package connected. Here is the list of channel lineup (for living room and master bedroom HD boxes). Please do not forget to sign out from your streaming accounts, housekeeper cannot do it for you. There is no parental control on the devices and we cannot know what other guests had left on the TV’s browser history. Please monitor your minors.


Trash, Laundry and Housekeeping
Trash bins are in the bathrooms and in the kitchen, spare bags are in them. Trash chute is on the west and north ends of the common walkway. Please use bags for your trash, never use the bins without a proper bag. Unfortunately, there is no recycling collection in the resort.
There is no daily housekeeping or towel service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken out from the unit except for laundry. We do not provide extra towels or toilet papers other than provided in the unit (please check under vanities). Please do not use towels to wipe the floors or your make-up. We have mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners and buckets in our units as well as make-up towels. Check under the vanities for more towels.
You can use the laundry for refreshing your towels and sheets. If you need a paid mid-stay cleaning, please contact me.
1 bedroom units do NOT have washer/dryer in the units, that is how the resort was built. Laundromats are on every floor near the main elevators. Each cycle is 8 quarters or $2.50 using the Payrange app credit card payment (if you top-up your account for less than $10, there is extra $0.25 fee). We provide 1-2 laundry packs in our units either on the kitchen counter or in the bathroom wall cabinet. Change machine is in the main lobby. If a washer or dryer is not operational (they break very often in a sandy environment), we apologize; you can use the upper or lower floor machines.
Pools and Grill Area
We have 1 indoor pool with outdoor access, 2 outdoor pools (Dolphin-east and Gulf-south), 1 kiddie pool and 2 hot tubs for your use. All pools have loungers in the perimeter. Pools are heated, with the exception of the east Dolphin pool, usually between November and March when it gets colder. Please check the Resort MAP section of this guide.
Only water in non-glass containers is allowed near the pools and hot tubs.
Gas grills are near the cafe and first come first served. There are also tables and chairs near the grills. We do not provide utensils for the grill.
Gulf pool and hot-tub are required by law to close at sun set.
The Beach
Two adult size beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler are stored in the condo and available for the use of our guests. Private sets can only be placed behind 3-5 rows of rentals. Please rinse the cooler before you depart.
You can also rent 1 umbrella and 2 chairs on the beach (Mar-Oct) for $45-55 depending on the row. Buy 5 days and get one day free. You can reserve your set by calling 866-651-1869 if you prefer to sit towards front. We understand that everyone wants the first row, but it is physically not possible and is first come first serve. You can also book online in advance at https://ldvbeach.com/destin/pelican-beach-resort/beach-chairs-umbrellas/. You can also rent for half day, or single umbrellas, chairs and a large 14′ umbrella.
Beach service operates from 9am to 5pm. They have sunset rentals for an additional fee. You can also rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.
Tents and canopies are NOT allowed on the beach, just umbrellas.
In peak seasons, we have servers serving drinks and food to the beach.

Cafe, Tiki Bar and Vending Machines
We have a cafe and convenience store near the indoor pool, open from February to October. Tiki-bar is near the beach with tables and umbrellas, open from March to October. These are privately owned and operated and we do not have control on their operation times. They usually close by 5pm.
Vending machines in the main lobby have beverages and snacks.
Fitness Center
Fitness center is accessed from the indoor pool near the north lobby. We have 2 treadmills, an elliptical and a recumbent bike, as well as weight machines and weights.
A steam room and a sauna can be found for our guests’ use. Both of them must be switched on to heat up. There are also two restrooms with showers, where you can change your clothes. Water fountain can be found in the north lobby.
Hours: 7am to 10pm daily.
Parking, EV Chargers, Tennis/Pickleball Courts and Basketball Hoop
We have plenty of free covered and uncovered parking. 2 vehicles per unit are allowed. Short term trailer or RV parking is fine. Uncovered parking lot has a lot of spaces.
We have 2 paid EV chargers. First come first serve. Idle fees apply.
We have 2 tennis courts on the upper level of the parking garage. One of the courts have pickleball lines. No rackets or balls provided. There is also a basketball hoop next to the courts.

House Rules
- Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the unit, on the balcony or anywhere in the resort except designated smoking areas (please check Resort MAP section). This is strictly enforced and you will be charged $250 without exception if housekeepers report smell of tobacco, marijuana or vape in the unit after you check-out.
- No more than number of the people in the booking can stay in the property including infants and children. Visitors are not allowed to the resort. 1 parent/adult guardian over 25 years of age is required for every 3 unmarried guests under 25 years of age to check-in.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Please do not cook heavily aromatic food (curry, fish, garlic) as it requires unit to be aerated at extra cost
- Please respect your neighbors and keep noise level low between 10 pm – 8 am. Do not drag the furniture as it disturbs the guest below you.
- Please keep the thermostat above 72 when you leave the unit for the day. Coils will freeze over if overworked due to heat and humidity and you will be left without A/C.
- Please keep balcony glass doors closed at all times when A/C is on.
- Please do not put any shrimp peelings, seafood, eggshells, or other hard food substances in the garbage disposal
- Please do not sit on the furniture with wet bathing suits or tanning lotion
- We do not allow any towels, sheets, bedspreads, or any furnishings to be removed from our condo at any time except for laundry
- Clothing, towels, sheets, bedspreads, or other items should never be hung to balcony rails
- Please utilize sprayers on the boardwalk to rinse off sand before returning to the condo. Shake towels, beach equipment and clothes outside before entering the unit
