SUMMARY:8th Annual Run For The Health Of It 5K/8K
DESCRIPTION:The White-Wilson Community Foundation will host the 8th Annual Run for the Health of It 5K/8K on Saturday\, March 21st. Participants will take off at 9 a.m. Runners and walkers of all ability levels are invited to participate. Both the race and the after-party are stroller and dog friendly! \nThe race will be followed by an after party at AJ’s Oyster Shanty. Participants will enjoy a delicious food and beverages. There will be children’s activities including a bounce house\, face painting and art stations. Awards will be given for the top three finishers from each 10-year age group. \nAll proceeds will help provide health services for community members in need. For more information on the White-Wilson Community Foundation and it’s work in the community\, visit www.whitewilsoncommunityfoundation.org. \nEarly registration is only $25 for adults and $20 for children. Week Of Registration is $30 for adults and $20 for children.  T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered by March 8\, 2020.  \nIf you are wishing to order a t-shirt\, but not participate in the race\, please select the “T-shirt Only” option. T-shirts are $15 each.  \nThe event is rain or shine. No refunds will be given.  \nEvent details and schedule\nRegistration \nOnline registration will end March 20\, 2020 at noon. You may also register for the event during packet pick-up. \nOR \nDay of registration will be available from 8 – 8:45 a.m. Race begins at 9 a.m. \nPacket Pick-Up \nPacket pick-up will be available on Friday\, March 20 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. at AJ’s Oyster Shanty. Stick around to take advantage of participant dinner and drink specials! \nParking \nParking is available across from AJ’s Oyster Shanty\, the gravel lot located behind Cash’s Liquor and in public parking areas along the street.
